Super Fantastic News!
The prekindergarten, kindergarten and cycle one students have just done a video call with another class! A first for our little kids! Congratulations everyone!
Today we talked with and met 21 grade one students and their teacher, Miss Lynch (Mary Ellen), from St. John School in St. Jean-sur-Richilieu. They live 30 minutes outside of Montreal and we asked them about their town and nearby city and their school. We told them about the Islands and our school.
We will be doing a community project with this class and can’t wait to start!

Wow! Our project work continues. Don’t forget to follow the link from our blog’s home page to see the community wiki with things we have been doing with Forestburg School and St. John School.
The children have put up pictures around their school and are working on an ABC book about their school and community. We are going to be starting some patterning activities and share them with Forestburg.
Also, stay tuned for some exciting details about our class doing some activities with Forestburg Elementary in Alberta via videoconferencing equipment at our school.
