About Our School
Grosse Ile School is located in the Magdalen Islands. The Islands are part of the province of Quebec and are located in the Gulf of the St. Lawrence. We are surrounded by beautiful beaches, water and fishing boats!
Our school is very small. We have 69 students and 8 teachers, from Prekindergarten to grade 11. Our classes are multi-leveled. Our principal is Mr. Hugh Wood. Our teacher, Donna is also staff assistant.
The school is located in the center of our community. We have our gymnasium across the street. Our school was renovated about 12 years ago and is very clean, colorful and modern.
When we look out the front door of our school we can see the water! The Gulf of St. Lawrence is right there and we are reminded of our island community.
