About Myself
Hello! I am Donna Anderson. I teach Prekindergarten, Kindergarten, and Cycle One at Grosse Ile School (Magdalen Islands, Quebec). I am also staff assistant again this year. I came to teach at Grosse Ile in 1992. I have taught many different levels over the years, but I have always had a love for kindergarten.
I have made an effort over the last 5-10 years to improve my technology skills. I am proud of my accomplishments. I was once very nervous about computers and technology in the classroom and now I can look back and see all the great things I have learned about technology. I even feel more comfortable sharing my skills with colleagues.
I have always loved to share with other teachers and believe that a great deal of learning can take place from just sharing and watching our colleagues. I have now participated in many sharing projects and continue to do so. I also encourage my class to collaborate and learn in projects with other students and schools.
Outside of school, I am the mother of two boys and the wife to a lobster fisherman. Working and bringing up children keep me extremely busy! I do love to relax with a great book and of course, go camping – especially near our wonderful beaches!
